New radio station: 92.7 FM (?)

There’s apparently a new radio station starting here soon, 92.7 FM, and it looks like they’re soliciting listener input on what kind of radio station they should be:

We’re about to sign on a new radio signal in Bend at 92.7 on FM.
Does anything frustrate you about radio?
We want our station to be part of the solution rather than the problem.

They’re inviting visitors to fill out a survey online—with questions along the lines of whether you’d prefer talk radio or music, what kind of music you’d like to hear, what stations you listen to already, etc. So this could be your chance to help hack the radio… so to speak.

Quote: " I don’t understand why radio stations play nickelback, hoobastank, american hi-fi cookie cutter crap. It’s time someone removes these bands from radio."

I sooo agree! Save that crap for 94.1! I’m getting a li’l irritated with 92.7. They claim to be original and not like the others. However, they play the same 10 songs over and over and over!

Nirvana followed by, Red Hot Chili Peppers, followed by Nickelback, followed by Johnny Cash followed by, Nirvana followed by, Red Hot Chili Peppers, followed by Nickelback, followed by Johnny Cash followed by, Nirvana followed by, Red Hot Chili Peppers, followed by Nickelback, followed by Johnny Cash followed by….You catch my drift.

So sad to hear them go to crap so soon! "…and about 3000 other bands". Where are these other bands?

If 92.7 is soo independent and badass…Prove it! Break up that 94.1 repetiveness! Try playing Bob Marley once in an 8-Hour period. Instead of 36 times.

    Practice wht you preach, 92.7!!!

Oh, let’s not forget the accustic version of STP’s "Plush". Good song but, played to death!

  3. Sarah says:

YOU NEED DJ!!!! or tell the listeners what the names of the songs are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. some one says:

you should play more hard rock and not as much clasic stuff…..and i agree with "sarah" you need a dj. you should make it a little bit comparable with "rock 101.1 KUFO" from portland.

I do have to say, 92.7 is doing a great job of mixing things up and not being repetitive like they were a month ago. I’m cancelling my XM service just because of this station, so I hope they keep it up. I was sold once I heard Cake on the station.

I really like the new station. Although I am getting a little burned out on some of the songs. Like "Black Mirror", if I hear that againg Im going to kill myself. Just kidding! You know what would really be nice is if a station would play some Marcy Playground, NOT SEX AND CANDY. They have so many better songs like, "Its Saturday" , "Poppies", "Wave motion gun", etc. If you havnt heard their other stuff your really missing out on some awesome music. Suprisingly, another band that doesnt get their GOOD SONGS played is Primus. No more "My Name is Mud", Please. We need more "Blue Collard Tweakers", "Fish On", "Sgt. Baker". Please?
