There’s currently a fire on Awbrey Butte… looks like it might have started on a construction site and spread… at one point we could see pretty good sized flames the length of it.
Update, 2pm: Fire looks mostly out now, there’s still a little bit of smoke but it’s much subsided.
I saw it as I came out of the mall from TJ Max. The flames were high.

My mom’s neighborhood was evacuated. She was freaked out. She said that there was no warning – she smelled the smoke, then about ten minutes later, there was a EBS warning on TV (which she had on in another room).
Scary stuff.
