Deep, Crooked River Dinner Train closing

The end of the year brings more restaurant-related closures, which aren’t fun for anybody.

First is the closure of the Crooked River Dinner Train, according to the Bulletin. Costs and descreased ridership have made it unfeasible for the City of Prineville to continue to operate it. (I didn’t know that the City even ran it, but apparently they took it over in 2004.)

Then, Deep in downtown Bend—Jody Denton’s upscale sushi bar—is closing as of the first. A victim of—you guessed it—the economic downturn.

Gotta start wondering what’s going to be next…
