Press Release: Ignite Bend

What: Oregon State Extension is proud to sponsor Ignite Bend (a community event)

What is Ignite Bend?

If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 PowerPoint slides and they rotated automatically every 15 seconds. Around the world people have been putting together Ignite nights to share their answers.

Ignite was started in Seattle by Brady Forrest and Bre Pettis. Since then hundreds of 5 minute talks have been given across the world. There are thriving Ignite communities in Seattle, Portland, Paris, and NYC. (More information on Ignite Events can be found at http://ignite.oreilly.com/)

Presentation proposals will be accepted through January 16th, 2009 for the first Ignite Bend event. Submission forms are available at the event website, www.ignitebend.com.

Sponsorships are available. Please contact us for more information. We are also looking for volunteers to make our event run smoothly.

Come join us for an incredible community event!

  1. Thanks for the info on the Ignite Bend. My husband and I went and really enjoyed it. I look forward to going again. Thanks for posting the info, I would have never found it otherwise.
