Full press release is below:

Like the last whitewater splash of a day on the river, the Moon Mountain Ramblers crown the first annual Pickin’ & Paddlin’ Music Series with an acoustic American slamgrass hoedown. Celebrate the final days of summer with a soulful bang Wednesday, August 26 on the bank of the Deschutes River.

Local favorites for their energetic performances, the Moon Mountain Rambles describe themselves as "high-desert soulgrass."

"Built on more of a jazz and blues, than bluegrass foundation, the combo likes to embark on polyphonic sprees and improvisational interludes," wrote Joe Ross for Bluegrass Now.

Pickin’ & Paddlin’ features live music from 7:00 to 9:00pm, as well as the chance to try kayaks, canoes, paddles and other gear on the Deschutes River. Admission is free, and the whole family is welcome. Donations to the Bend Paddle Trail Alliance are encouraged, and Silver Moon Brewing’s new Epic Trail Ale will be available for adult consumption (proceeds to BPTA).
