Renegade Rollergirls are back, Nov. 21

I was wondering when roller derby started back up: for the Renegade Rollergirls, it’s Saturday, November 21st. It’s their season opener. Oregon Renegade Roller Derby; Bend’s only non-profit Roller Derby League, will hold their first bout of their 4th season at Midtown Music Hall, located on Greenwood Ave. The Renegades will be competing in a co-ed bouting event including guest skaters from Medford and Salem. The Nature of Words also continues through the weekend. There a number of readings, workshops, and signings still going on; I’ll point to their event page … Continue reading →

Mondays at Typhoon

I suspect I’m behind the curve on this one, but Monday nights at Typhoon in downtown Bend are half-price wine nights. Basically, all wine under $100 is half price… that’s per glass and per bottle. No kidding, half off a bottle. Our waitress told us that there are people who basically order a bottle on Monday nights just to take home. It’s probably about time to start compiling a new list of happy hours and … Continue reading →
