Big Lots

I missed this the first time around (about three weeks ago or so), but Big Lots opened up on the Eastside in the old Linens ‘N Things location (next to Old Navy). They’re one of those closeout/liquidator/wholesale stores that offer lots of stuff for (relatively) cheap; likely a store to do well in the current economy.

The Bulletin’s blurb is here.

Big Lots sells a variety of products, including brand names, ranging from furniture to toys to seasonal items, according to the company. The publicly traded company, which had $1.2 billion in sales at its more than 1,360 stores during the quarter that ended May 1, buys “closeout merchandise from manufacturers who want to reduce inventory as a result of package changes, canceled orders, product discontinuation or test market products,” according to its website. The new store, located at 2600 N.E. U.S. Highway 20, is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The Bend location is 19,400 square feet.

Thanks, Jen!

  1. Your wife has told you about it too (when the sign went up & then sent you the Bulletin photo that day). I believe your kids told you that we went there that week it opened.
