I received this press release yesterday about KOHD making a comeback in the Bend Market.
Beginning September 20th, KOHD News will begin airing two locally–focused half-hour newscasts at 6pm and 11pm, Monday through Friday. These two local newscasts signal an expansion of current news offerings in the market, and the return of the Central Oregon ABC affiliate’s Emmy-nominated local newscasts.
Since going on the air in 2007, KOHD has been committed to providing a better option for local news in Central Oregon. Recently, KOHD switched to a shorter-burst format to provide more frequent news and weather updates to viewers throughout the day. With the addition of two half-hour weekday newscasts to its lineup, KOHD News is excited to once again provide more in-depth local news coverage to Central Oregon.
“The story of KOHD is really the story of all of us,” says Dottie Ashley, Market Manager for KOHD. “We’ve all seen the impacts of this economy, but we’re coming back stronger than before. This is an incredible part of the country, and we are happy to bring back a choice and high quality newscasts to Central Oregon viewers.”
Interesting to see what will appear on our TVs on September 20 from KOHD. I’m also curious to hear about what Bend Broadband, I mean ZoloMedia, has planned for KBNZ.
