Chili Feed and Holiday Bazaar

The Des Chutes Historical Museum (yes, they spell “Deschutes” with two words in this case) is having their annual holiday bazaar and chili feed this weekend:

The Des Chutes Historical Museum’s Annual Holiday Bazaar and Chili Feed will be Friday and Saturday, November 12—13, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Bazaar is held at the Des Chutes Historical Museum, 129 NW Idaho Ave, between Wall and Bond Streets next to the Boys and Girls Club.

The annual event raises funds to support the Des Chutes Historical Museum’s programs, exhibits, and collection care. The holiday bazaar features collectibles and antiques in Grandma’s Attic, used and rare books, and handmade crafts and baked goods made by Museum members, volunteers, and staff. In addition, vintage wagon tours of the historic district and downtown treat visitors to a unique view of downtown Bend. The Old Classroom plays host to the chili feed, featuring the Museum’s own Milli’s Chili.

New to the event this year is the addition of vendor stalls on the Museum lawn with a variety of handmade arts and crafts for holiday shopping.
