Valentine’s beer dinners

Valentine’s Day is coming up, and what could be more “Oregon” than pairing beer with a romantic evening and dinner? Fortunately both Deschutes Brewery and 10 Barrel Brewing are hosting exactly those types of events!

Deschutes is featuring their “Pairing 4 Amoré” on Friday, February 11th, starting at 7pm:

Looking to start your Valentine’s weekend off right? Join Deschutes Brewery for the Pairing 4 Amoré Beer and Food tasting. The aphrodisiac inspired menu will be paired with specialty brews including “Aphrodite”, a chocolate fig stout which will only be offered at this tasting. Bring your Valentine or your favorite beer drinking buddy and at the very least, fall in love with great food and beer!

$48/person includes appetizers, beer and gratuity

And 10 Barrel’s newsletter talks about their Valentine’s Beer Pairing Dinner on the 14th:

We are very excited to announce our first annual Valentine’s Day beer pairing dinner! Brewmaster Jimmy Seifrit and Chef’s Justin Hanson and Mike Moor have put together an incredible menu, giving you the opportunity to sample some amazing food dishes paired with traditional 10 Barrel beers, but with a twist. Ever wondered what our S1NIST0R Black Ale would taste like infused with imported Vanilla beans and paired with spicy green lip [mussels] topped with a black caviar? Center cut Filet Mignon with a dark cherry demi, paired with the brewers Barrel Aged Surprise?

Come join us for a very special evening with full presentations and intricate food/beer pairings and descriptions from the Chef’s and Brewmaster. Six courses in all, $50/person includes all food, drink, and gratuity. Please come sign up at the pub or email Garrett at gwales@10barrel.com to hold your spot. We are starting with a 7:15 seating. Don’t miss out on this once a year event!

Hopefully the significant other in your life enjoys great beer as well as food!
