The new eastside Library is open

The new east branch of the Deschutes Public Library officially opened today, in their new space in Borden’s Corner at Highway 20 and Dean Swift Road. Good news for the eastside! The Library website has their announcement of the opening here.

The Deschutes Public Library is pleased to announce the new 8,000 square foot East Bend Library will open March 22, 2011. The new library is located at Borden’s Corner – 62080 Dean Swift Road #170 – just off Hwy 20. The East Bend Library provides full services that include: a community meeting room, popular materials collection, Internet stations, story times, adult programming, and holds pick-up.

The new East Bend Library provides easy access to neighborhoods, schools, assisted-living centers, and other important populations in east Bend,” said Assistant Director Kevin Barclay. “We are eager to provide excellent library services for all ages.”

East Bend Library hours are: Tuesday – Wed 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Thursday 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; Friday 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.; Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Closed Sunday & Monday
