Marz – the Food Cart

Remember Marz Bistro, the downtown restaurant that was sold with the space becoming Gatsby’s? Well, it’s back—in the form of a food cart. The Marz Cart will be located at the Skjersaa’s parking lot over on SW Century Drive, and they’re having a grand opening this Thursday from 6 to 9pm.

From the press release I received:

Matt Davis and Rich Hall, former owner and executive chef of Marz Bistro, announce the opening of The Marz Cart. The Marz Cart will be located at Skjersaa’s parking lot (130 Southwest Century Drive) and will be serving interplanetary favorites in a new food cart just in time for summer. Marz Bistro, the 2008 Source Weekly Restaurant of the Year, broke the mold a decade ago with its eclectic world cuisine and continued to raise the bar in terms of ambiance, creativity and innovation. After a brief hiatus, Davis and Hall are joining together once again serving up old favorites in a new format. The Marz Cart will celebrate its grand opening this Thursday with chef Rich Hall cooking up Marz’s famous plum hoison BBQ ribs, green and red Thai curries, Thai seafood cakes, grilled artichokes and Argentinean marinated churrassco steak sliders- and more. The Marz Cart will be open daily from 11 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with increased hours in the summer.  In addition to daily service, The Marz Cart will be available for events and catering as well as selling the Marz Rib Kit- a two part do-it-yourself braising and glazing system for home BBQs. Fans of Marz can follow the Cart and find out daily food specials at http://facebook.com/TheMarzCart.
