Shakespeare in the Park

Coming up on August 26th and 27th is one of the coolest events of the summer (in my opinion): Shakespeare in the Park. The Northwest Classical Theater Company is offering up three performances in Drake Park of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which seems like a perfectly appropriate choice. (The Taming of the Shrew would be great, too.) (And I just checked and apparently before the Saturday there’s a local performance of a scene from Shrew!)

They are planning three performances over the two days: an evening one on Friday, and matinee and evening shows on Saturday. Gates open at 5pm for the evening shows and at noon for the matinee.

Tickets are available only on BendTicket.com and range in price from $20 to $75; and apparently there’s a “VIP ticket” for $75 that gets you gold seating, food, and drinks—but I don’t see that offered on BendTicket so I’m not sure if that’s just the $75 tickets in general.
