The Little Woody Barrel-aged Brew Fest

The Little Woody is taking place this weekend, Friday and Saturday, September 2nd and 3rd—Bend’s other beer festival, and the one that the beer geeks really love. The focus is on complex, barrel- and wood-aged beers, and all but three of Central Oregon’s breweries are going to be there (the three that aren’t are Old Mill Brew Werks, Below Grade Brewing, and the new Phat Matt’s Brewing from Redmond), as well as five from Portland, Eugene, and Corvallis.

The Little Woody is a 21 and over event, and in addition to the beer (some 27 different beers will be on tap) there will also be wine, cocktails from Bendistillery, and a whiskey tasting featuring six regional distilleries for a $45. The fest kicks off from 5 until 10pm on Friday, and runs from noon to 10pm on Saturday, and takes place at the Des Chutes Historical Museum lawn and parking lot in Downtown Bend (located at 129 NW Idaho Street).

The entry fee is $6 for the commemorative tasting glass, $5 without, and for $15 you can get a tasting package that includes entry, glass, and ten tokens. Standard token pricing/pours apply for these type of events: $1 per token, and one token per tasting (though some of the beers are very strong and they may require more two or more).
