Veterans Day Parade

Tomorrow is Veterans Day, and at 11am downtown is the annual Veterans Day Parade. The streets downtown will be closed as the parade follows essentially the same route at the Christmas Parade: Wall Street to Franklin/Drake Park to Galveston to Harmon Street (unfortunately I don’t know exactly how long the parade lasts).

The Veterans Day Parade is one of three parades each year (the other two being Christmas and the Pet Parade at the Fourth of July) and is sponsored by the City of Bend. It is (of course) free to attend, and there will also be a flyover by the Oregon Air National Guard, F-15 Eagle fighter jets from the 173 Fighter Wing out of Klamath Falls.

  1. Thanks for posting about the Vet’s Parade.

We just wanted to clarify, yes the City of Bend does help out with closing the streets for the Vet’s Parade and others. However, it is the Downtown Bend Business Association-funded by the private business and property owners-that is a major sponsor of the Vet’s and Christmas Parades. We assist with the organization and pay for the essential on the event liability insurance.

    Cheers,
