Yesterday I saw this picture on Facebook from What The Bend, showing El Caporal West (downtown) in the process of changing signs—to “Amanda’s”.

And then yesterday evening Jeff emailed to say:

Heads up that El Caporal on NW Bond (at NW Franklin) changed its exterior sign today to “Amanda’s Mexican” using a sub-head that says,” … with a twist”. I called the El Caporal number and the person answering said it’s still the same restaurant and menu, with a different name only.

Incidentally, El Cap posted on their Facebook page, “El Caporal West will soon be Amanda’s, come in & try our new menu!”

So, sounds like same people, with an upgrade.
