This Saturday, July 7th, Whole Foods Market here in Bend is holding their 2nd Annual Brewfest! It’s taking place from 1 to 6pm in their side parking lot adjacent to the store (the east lot), and costs $5 to enter.
We’ll have 16+ breweries, tasty food, and the Humane Society of Central Oregon doing an adoption event! Proceeds from the event benefit the Humane Society – so come have a beer for a good cause!
Breweries included (as you can see on the poster) are 10 Barrel, Deschutes Brewery, GoodLife, Three Creeks, Cascade Lakes, Silver Moon, Lagunitas, Finn River Cider, Pelican Pub & Brewery, Ninkasi, Full Sail, Epic, Double Mountain, Logsdon Farmhouse Ales, and Phat Matt’s. (Likely there will be more as well.)
Anyone familiar with Whole Foods’ beer department (and Evan Hendrix who heads it up) knows that this will be a cool event as they really know and advocate craft beer, with not only a great beer selection but also holding weekly tastings and being big supporters of the local breweries and events like Central Oregon Beer Week.
And thinking outside the box—when’s the last time you’ve been to a parking lot brewfest put on by a specialty market? Another reason Bend’s beer scene is so great!
