Skyliner’s “Winter Sports” Swap

It’s October, which means we are all watching for the white stuff to blanket the mountains in our Central Oregon back yard. If you have old gear to sell or are looking to pick up something new – or new to you – then you should mark your calendar so you don’t miss the Skyliner’s “Winter Sports” Swap event on October 13. I know, you probably know it as the “ski swap” but they sell lots of great gear for other outdoor winter activities too.

There’s a new location this year. If you show up at the Mt. Bachelor bus barn then you’ll be disappointed. This year the swap will be held at 149 SE 9th Street, on the Eastside near Bend High School:

Want to buy?

The sale will be held on Saturday, October 13, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per person or $10 for a family. Admission fees go to the MBSEF Scholarship Program too.

Want to sell?

They’ll be accepting used gear for sale on Thursday, October 11, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, October 12, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. A volunteer will help you tag and price your gear. MBSEF will take a 28% commission on your sold items – all proceeds go to MBSEF’s scholarship program. No straight Alpine skis will be accepted.

Unsold gear can be picked up Sunday, October 14, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Checks for sold gear will be available within 10 days of the sale.
