Whole Foods’ St. Patrick’s “Week” beer tastings
This Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day which means it’s almost time for my annual “drinking guide” post for the holiday, but before then, Whole Foods is doing a series of beer tastings this week featuring Black & Tans from local breweries:
Instead of focusing on the traditional “Black & Tan” this St. Patricks Day, we’ve invited some of our favorite LOCAL breweries to come up with their own versions!
We will be pouring Local Black and Tans 4-6 daily from the 13th-16th

10 Barrel Brewing Company 3/15
Deschutes Brewery 3/16
This is a neat idea, one I’m pretty sure I’ll be checking out this week. I can’t help but wonder if each brewery’s version of a Black & Tan will consist entirely of their own beers, or just their flagship stout mixed with lager, or quite how that will work. I guess I’ll have to stop by and see!
The growler station in Ray’s will have Guinness on nitro tap on the 13th. This might be worth a visit.
