First Friday this week

Downtown BendThis Friday evening it’s once again the First Friday Art Walk taking place downtown and in the Old Mill District from 5 to 9, with galleries and shops open late and featuring special art exhibits, and often free refreshments (including wine and beer). And many places will have live music, too, so it’s going to be a great night to wander through the streets of downtown and the Old Mill and enjoy the festivities.

The weather is going to be perfect, too. If you’re going to go, make sure to get there early to find parking. Or better yet, make plans to get a ride or catch a ride afterward with a service like Sober Dudes—because let’s be realistic, with as much free wine and beer you can find, you probably really shouldn’t be driving home.

Speaking of beer, you can also check out Broken Top Bottle Shop all day Friday where they are featuring their “First Firkin Friday” (where they tap a special cask keg of beer), with the proceeds benefiting the Human Society and the Bend Spay and Neuter project. It’s a good cause and good beer and you can swing downtown afterwards.
