Tom over at the Brew Shop & Platypus Pub told me this weekend that they’ve closed the Platypus for the rest of the month for some renovations and re-working of the kitchen and menu. So if you were hoping to stop in the next few weeks for beer and a bite, you’ll be out of luck.

In addition to hiring a new chef and re-working the menu, they will also be painting and replacing the tables and chairs with new furniture—the tables and chairs that were there were inherited with the space when they took over two years ago.

If all goes according to plan they should have their re-opening right around the first of October.

The upstairs Brew Shop is still open however, and you can continue to buy homebrew supplies and a huge variety of bottled and canned beer there.
