Surprising news that appears to be true: it looks like Papa John’s Pizza over on Bend’s eastside is closed. They posted on their Facebook page this morning:

Goodbye Bend. Thank you for the 20+ years we were here.

And apparently the corporate office confirmed the closure (I’m told, though I didn’t talk to them myself).

That’s too bad, because I rather liked Papa John’s especially for quick pick-up and thought their pizza was perfectly good (I know all you pizza aficionados out there just shuddered!). Also, it’s weird to think they’ve been there (at the corner of Greenwood and 8th) for 20 years…
