Some good recent restaurant meals

Fried pork loin sandwich at the Boneyard Pub (via Facebook)

Just wanted to highlight several really good restaurant meals I’ve had recently.

Boneyard Beer Pub: Fried pork loin sandwich, with hand cut steak fries. The pork loin was flattened and was wider than the bun! Breaded and fried perfectly so it was moist and delicious, with pickles and a tangy mayo-based spread. The fries were the best choice with it too.

Hola! Eastside: Marcos Pollo. I observed on social media that the eastside Hola is the best Hola, and this dish (chicken breast sauteed with mushrooms in a chipotle cream sauce) is excellent.

Immersion Brewing: Pub house nachos. This is on the “Divide” (shareable) menu and there is more than enough for two. Get them with carnitas. I couldn’t stop eating them.

On Tap, The Bleu Rooster food truck: Po’ boy sandwich. I thought it was a really tasty version.

All of these are worth checking out, and looking back over them it’s pretty clear it’s comfort-type food (the best kind).
