Liquor Is Quicker…

According to Facebook, Oregon Spirit Distillers are holding a tasting event at East Bend Liquor (2220 NE Hwy 20)… now. Friday, Sept 24, 4-6pm. That’s all the information they have, and I didn’t see anything on their website. If you want to get your weekend started a little early but aren’t quite ready for the Oktoberfest crowd… head on over!

I’d be interested to see how many weekend festivals per year are held in Bend, because it feels like there’s always SOMETHING closing a street in this town. Seems like we have a higher than usual concentration of beer-centric events than anywhere. I’m not complaining, though. Who’s excited for Oktoberfest? Bendistillery Grand Opening

McMenamins Old St. Francis School has a couple of cool things going on this week—one free, one a little spendy (but not too much). “Jason Evers” and the OLCC’s mess

So, with “Jason Evers” sitting in a jail in Idaho, accused of stealing the identity of a three-year old murder victim who died almost three decades ago (the Bulletin has a good summary) and up on federal charges, it certainly begs the question: what’s the OLCC (Oregon Liquor Control Commission) going to do about this?
