Last year (or two) in June…

Looking back, once again catching up for two(!) previous years of blogging. In 2006: We observed the launch of the Bend Weekly newspaper and website. Farmer’s Market month. I wrote a bit about the Lava River Cave. craigslist came to Bend (pushing "BendStuff" out of the spotlight). Fiona Apple tickets were (nearly) free for her July 1st concert here. This month is marks the two year anniversary of Hack Bend! So my retrospective will cover 2006 and 2007. Last year in April…

Let’s see, a year ago, in April 2007, I blogged about: Wildfire Brewing began officially brewing beer. Fyreflyte came out of retirement for a fundraiser show (at least I think this was after they had "disbanded"). Restaurant fundraisers for Tyler Eklund We found out China Hat Road is a dangerous place. The Cave House! Bend’s first men’s salon opened. I posted a lunch review of Hola! (it was still new).

Last year in March…

A year ago, in March 2007: JC’s had their grand opening in their expanded space. (Their Wildfire beer started pouring the following month.) I let you all in on how to dig up information on local property. I published a St. Patty’s Day pub hopping guide (which I may re-run for this year!). We explored a bit of the history of Harp Hall.
