WineStyles is closing

It’s kind of puzzling how there’s news of three new breweries starting up in the next few months, and then the Bulletin reports today that WineStyles is closing as of October 15th. The owners of Bend’s WineStyles, which offered wine tastings and sold bottled wines, are closing the store Oct. … Continue reading

I missed this the first time around (about three weeks ago or so), but Big Lots opened up on the Eastside in the old Linens ‘N Things location (next to Old Navy). I spent quite a bit of time down at SummerFest this past weekend, helping out a friend who had a booth in the Souk section, and wandered around downtown a bit, seeing some of the new shops and businesses I didn’t know about. I used to work downtown, but haven’t … Continue reading

Riverside Market online

It’s been awhile since I blogged about Riverside Market, down in Bend’s “old town” part of downtown. Back then (2007) they didn’t have a web presence, but they do now: both a website and a Facebook page. Which is to be expected, I guess. Especially the Facebook page.
