The Free Summer Guide is back!

Just in time for school to be out and summer to start, I’ve got the Free Summer Activity Guide that I’ve been running these past few years updated and ready for 2012! It’s the guide to tons of free or inexpensive activities to do all summer long, though of course if I’ve missed anything, or gotten something wrong, please let me know and I’m more than happy to update it and list even more things!

(And free activities outside of Bend can certainly be fleshed out so let me know!)

Bookmark it, share it on Twitter, Facebook, and everywhere else, and go have fun this summer!

  1. I would just add the Badlands and The Deschutes Land Trust (often have free, fun, and family-friendly hikes). Also, check out geocaching and/or letter-boxing (lots in this area). Finally, LOTS of fun day-trips: Cascade Lakes, Sunriver (or other resorts have free/cheap activities), rock-hounding, Smithrock SP, fishing at the local kids’ ponds, Paulina, Crater Lake NP (long day), John Day (another long day), and Lake Billy Chinook (just to name a few). Lots of great weekend trips too:)

Plus, the following stores have free/cheap classes: Barnes & Noble (free books too), Lowes, Home Depot, and Michaels.
